CARNIVAL SPLENDOR: CARNIVAL CRUISE VACATION and "Cloud nine" spa

One of my favorite cruise lines. Carnival Splendor goes to Mexico from Long Beach, Los Angeles, California, on a 7 day vacation to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabos San Lucas. The ticket includes the cruise, entertainment, staterooms, gym, casino, fine dining in restaurants, and all the services that come with it: cleaning, hospitality, child care...

The spa: "Cloud Nine" it is called, is a separate entity and would charge for it's services: but then what is a cruise without a massage or a facial. They have herb Poultice massage and you get to keep the poultice, which could be steamed and reused. The hot rocks and bamboo are not bad, either. The specials and discounts run on the first day, on Port Days, when the ship is docked, and for "early birds." If you get two or more services from them, you might get 30% discount, too. The "Cloud Nine" also has a deal for a special heated relaxation chairs with a great view of the ocean and Jacuzzis with dragons hanging on the top: more of a private setting than the many other hot bubble pools on deck. The spa also has acupuncture.

The entertainment is fabulous! The cruise director is hilarious. They have late night comedy shows, too. There are contests and Bingo, too; you can win $500 or $1000 dollars, or a cruise for 2. Amazing!

Expenses:
You have to pay for your drinks (except during the Captain's Dinner in the theater: drink free as much as you want).
The gratuity (tip) will be automatically charged to your Sail and Sign Card
Tours are not free.
Internet service is available; you must pay.
Casino, casino, casino... Need I say anything more? Try to stay away!

All the expenses (except the gratuity) are your  choice; you do not have to make them, but I would suggest some tours and spa... maybe some drinks.

Happy sailing!
